Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stand-Up Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a stand-up forklift to move, stack, and organize products and materials within a warehouse or distribution center. The forklift operator will ensure that all tasks are completed in compliance with safety protocols and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a stand-up forklift to transport materials and products to designated locations within the warehouse or facility.
• Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets with precision and efficiency.
• Ensure the proper placement and stacking of materials to optimize storage space and prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock taking as needed.
• Inspect forklifts before use to ensure they are in good working condition; report any maintenance or repair issues.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and shipping goals.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse by keeping aisles clear and ensuring product accessibility.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team leads, and other departments regarding job progress and safety concerns.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a stand-up forklift is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 pounds).
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in varying temperatures (cold, hot, or ambient).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse or industrial environment.
• May require shifts or overtime depending on workload and schedule.
• Safety equipment (e.g., gloves, helmet, steel-toe boots) must be worn at all times.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
• Frequent bending, squatting, and lifting.
• Able to operate a forklift in tight spaces and on uneven surfaces.
