Sr. Logistics Supervisor

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily logistics, shipping, receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations

  • Supervise, coach, and develop logistics team members, including scheduling, performance management, and training

  • Ensure on-time delivery of finished goods while optimizing freight, routing, and carrier performance

  • Manage inventory flow to support production schedules and customer demand

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, safety, and cost control

  • Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to align logistics plans with manufacturing output

  • Monitor KPIs (on-time delivery, freight costs, inventory accuracy, productivity) and implement corrective actions

  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety and quality standards

  • Support system improvements related to WMS, ERP, and transportation management tools

  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and vendor/carrier negotiations
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of logistics or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience

  • Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management practices

  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems and data-driven decision making

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
