Shipping Clerk
Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Office Clerk to join our logistics team temporarily. This role involves managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining meticulous records. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SAP, have strong organizational abilities, and be skilled in using the MS Office suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with external trucking personnel during delivery and pickup of shipments.
- Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials through SAP processes.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Prepare essential shipping documents, including labels, invoices, and bills of lading.
- Assist in developing new shipping office workflows and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners to address and resolve shipping issues.
- Use MS Office tools to generate reports and manage shipping-related data.
- Investigate and help resolve any discrepancies or issues in shipping.
- Assist with inventory management and stock control tasks.
