Production Utility & Zünd Operator
Reports to: Sewing Manager

POSITION PURPOSE
This position is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating machinery to produce materials that meet quality, quantity, and efficiency standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• 
  Perform Zünd cutting operations
• 
  Program the machine to proper specifications
• 
  Select appropriate cutting programs
• 
  Prepare fixtures and materials for loading
• 
  Set up machine per specified dimensions
• 
  Adjust controls as needed
• 
  Perform routine maintenance
• 
  Inspect material for defects
• 
  Manage product inventory
• 
  Inspect finished goods for packaging (color, material flaws, stitching)
• 
  Fold, pack, and label items
• 
  Measure material for cutting
• 
  Pack finished goods for inventory or shipment
• 
  Label finished goods, boxes, and skids
• 
  Count and record finished goods placed in inventory
• 
  Attach grommets per instructions using automatic grommet equipment
• 
  Load skids with finished goods
• 
  Operate powered industrial trucks
• 
  Lift 30–70 lbs. Of material
• 
  Unload pallets and bring material into the department
• 
  Maintain a clean work station
• 
  Assist with small projects as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 
  High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
• 
  1–3 years of related experience preferred
• 
  1–2 years of direct experience required

  Ability to read, write, and understand English

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• 
  Ability to perform basic math
• 
  Ability to add, subtract, and multiply fractions

REASONING ABILITY
