The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment, machinery, and facility areas to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Clean and sanitize production machinery, equipment, tools, and facility surfaces according to established schedules and procedures.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning.
Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, detergents, and sanitizing agents in accordance with company safety standards.
Inspect and verify cleanliness of equipment before production start-up.
Follow all sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs) and report any deviations to management.
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure equipment is properly prepared for sanitation.
Keep accurate records of cleaning activities, including checklists and logs.
Maintain a safe and organized work area; follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Identify and communicate equipment or facility issues to supervisors promptly
