Sanitation Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Machine Operator to join our sanitation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by operating specialized cleaning machinery, performing routine sanitation tasks, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Sanitation Machine Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring that all production areas and machinery are kept in a safe and hygienic condition.
Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation for Cleaning: Operate and maintain specialized sanitation machinery, such as pressure washers, scrubbers, steam cleaners, and other automated cleaning equipment, to ensure proper sanitation of production areas and machinery.

Routine Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning of machinery, equipment, and production areas to meet food safety, quality, and sanitation standards. This includes cleaning tanks, conveyors, pipes, and other production tools.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and sanitation standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and machinery. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and company safety procedures.

Inspection and Monitoring: Regularly inspect equipment and areas to identify any areas needing attention or repair. Notify supervisors of any mechanical issues, malfunctions, or discrepancies found during sanitation tasks.

Chemical Handling: Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals, ensuring the correct dilution, application, and disposal as required by safety guidelines and company procedures.

Documentation: Maintain records of cleaning activities, including equipment sanitation schedules, chemicals used, and any issues encountered. Ensure all sanitation logs are up to date and accurate.

Preventive Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance on sanitation machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts to ensure optimal performance.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with production and maintenance teams to schedule and execute sanitation tasks without disrupting production timelines. Communicate any issues or concerns promptly.
