Job Overview:
Our client, a leading food manufacturing warehouse, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitization Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment by effectively sanitizing machinery and work areas in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards. This role is crucial in ensuring the production of safe, high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sanitization of Machinery: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all production equipment and machinery after each batch according to established procedures and schedules. This includes disassembling and reassembling machines as needed for effective cleaning.
• Compliance and Documentation: Adhere to all food safety regulations, including OSHA, FDA, and company-specific guidelines. Complete and maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitization activities.
• Chemical Handling: Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers. Follow proper procedures for mixing, application, and disposal of these substances.
• Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all cleaning and sanitization processes are effective. Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure that sanitization efforts align with production schedules and other operational needs.
• Work Environment: The area can get wet and cold; PPE will be provided to keep you dry, warm, and safe.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential.
• Independence: Ability to work independently, stay on task without direction, and follow a strict process.
• Flexibility: Willingness to pitch in where needed and adapt to various tasks.
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in a cold environment.
• Work Ethic: Strong work ethic and a proven attendance record.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions as required by the warehouse environment.
• Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
