We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Custom Home Architect to join our growing team.
This position is ideal for a technically skilled designer who thrives in a collaborative environment
and enjoys transforming client visions into buildable, code-compliant, and visually stunning
homes. The Custom Home Architect will lead the design and documentation of custom homes
while supporting construction, permitting, and client coordination throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
•Meet with clients to understand goals, lifestyle needs, and budget.
•Review site conditions, zoning, and subdivision requirements.
•Develop conceptual designs, floor plans, and elevations.
•Create 3D renderings or virtual walkthroughs for client presentations.
•Refine plans through design development based on client feedback.
•Coordinate with engineering, interior design, and selections teams.
•Prepare full construction drawings and specifications.
•Ensure compliance with building codes, energy standards, and HOA guidelines.
•Assist with permitting, plan review comments, and revisions.
•Provide construction support through field coordination and plan clarifications.
•Maintain and update the builder’s library of standard and custom home plans.
•Produce renderings or plan updates for marketing and model homes.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field required;professional licensure
preferred but not required.
•3–7 years of residential design experience (custom homes strongly preferred).
•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable architectural software.
•Strong understanding of residential building codes and construction methods.
•Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to balance creativity with technical precision and buildability.
•Collaborative mindset with a focus on client satisfaction and quality design.
