The Project Coordinator I provides foundational support to project teams and project managers assisting with scheduling, meeting coordination, budget tracking, status reporting, and maintaining project documentation. This is an entry-level position focused on tactical project activities while developing
knowledge of Project Management best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Facilitate project communications by scheduling team meetings, publishing meeting minutes, tracking
actions/issues/risks, and updating project schedules. Monitor project deliverables, identify
risks/issues, and assist in managing overall project performance.
• Support the creation/update of project management deliverables (project plan, risk register, project
schedules, monthly dashboards/KPIs).
• Facilitate the compilation of monthly program status into a format that is appropriate for
consumption at all levels of the internal organization. Review with project managers for accuracy prior
to electronic distribution.
• Assist with basic financial tracking; ensuring invoices are processes, tracking expenses, and reconciling
project budgets.
• Proactively identify and resolve minor project-related issues or roadblocks, escalating complex
problems to the Project Manager.
• Ensure, project documentation is accurate, complies with project SOPs, and is stored/archived per
established guidelines.
• Support project governance by coordinating monthly project review meetings, stage gate meetings,
communicating action items and meeting results. Ensure every meeting action has a designated
owner and due date and is actively tracked to closure.

Education, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements
• Associates degree in a technical field; mechanical/electrical engineering degree preferred.
• 0-2 years related experience in Program/Project Management of New Product Development.
• Pursuing Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential; training currently in
progress, preferred.
• Basic understanding of project management, engineering principles, design methodologies, and
tools.
• Strong proficiency with computer skills, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project.
• Prior knowledge of and experience with lean principals/tools is preferred.
