Production Supervisor

- Assist Production Manager in scheduling production in accordance with sales orders to meet customer requirements.
- Schedule may include first and second shift operations.Compile job packets for production floor.
- Issue change, cancellation and rush orders
- Ensure safety in the plant at all times and at every operation.
- Operate production and manage production personnel at high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Lead employees to carry out assigned tasks
- Develop and coach employees to higher levels of performance.
- Lead production team meetings
- Open plant for start up in the morning may be required.
- Train personnel in various production processes.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and supplies.
- Ensure proper inventory control including performing cycle counting materials
- Develop metrics for monitoring departmental performance.
- Ensure the highest level of quality of every product produced.
- Schedule shipment of completed orders.
- Coordinate with Sales for the timely production and shipment of customer orders.
- Schedule maintenance and repair of equipment in a timely manner.
- Conduct production time studies.
- Utilize manufacturing software.
- Create job packets and assign work orders to production.
- Staff the operation with appropriate headcount and talent, and provide training and coaching as required.
