About the Role
Calling all print-production pros who love the smell of fresh ink and the satisfying snap of a perfect fold! We’re looking for a Bindery Operator who knows their way around the finishing department and can turn printed sheets into press-ready perfection. If you thrive in the world of offsets, signatures, trim sizes, and finishing specs — this is your next great gig.
What You’ll Do
Operate and maintain bindery equipment including folders, guillotine cutters, saddle stitchers, collators, shrink wrappers, and more.
Read and interpret job tickets, press sheets, impositions, and finishing specs to ensure accurate production.
Set up machinery for various finishing processes — folding, trimming, scoring, drilling, stitching, perfect binding, and collating.
Pull press-check samples, verify pagination and signatures, and ensure trim marks, gutters, and registration are spot-on.
Perform quality checks throughout the run to make sure every finished piece matches the approved proof.
Troubleshoot jams, misfeeds, and alignment issues like a true finishing-room hero.
Coordinate with Press Operators and Prepress teams to keep jobs flowing from the feeder to the final box.
Maintain proper bindery maintenance, lubrication, and safety practices — because smooth machines make beautiful work.
What You Bring
Prior experience in bindery or print production (commercial print, digital print, or finishing environment).
Ability to understand impositions, lay flats, color bars, crop marks, and finishing diagrams.
Strong mechanical skills and the ability to dial in makeready adjustments.
High attention to detail — you can spot a bad fold or off-center trim from a mile away.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended press runs.
A commitment to producing clean, consistent, high-quality work.
Why You’ll Love It Here
You get to be the final step in the print cycle — the one who brings the entire job to life.
Work with modern finishing equipment and a team that speaks fluent CMYK.
Every project is different — from perfect-bound books to tri-fold brochures to saddle-stitched catalogs.
A positive, fast-paced environment where craftsmanship is recognized and celebrated.
