Job Description

JOB TITLE:             Pricing Specialist 

POSITION PURPOSE: This individual will be responsible for assisting with the functions of the pricing department.

 JOB DUTIES:

  1. Program customer billing rates in the billing rate database.
  2. Program driver pay rates in the settlements rate database.
  3. Assist with pricing rate requests, bids, and rate analyses.
  4. Oversee the quote tracking documentation to make sure it is current.
  5. Oversee the rate increase tracking documentation to make sure it is current.
  6. Update rate agreements to make sure they are current.
  7. Process loads that are not rating.
  8. Understand how to process loads with extra charges, and help with this function as needed.
  9. Understand how to update and program fuel prices and help with this function as needed.
  10. Create and update bill-to customer information when needed.
  11. Assist with documentation of pricing procedures.
  12. Answer pricing-related questions from customers, accounts receivable, or sales.
  13. Other duties as determined by the VP of Pricing, Billing, and Settlements. Duties may be changed at the desire of management.

 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree is required in related field.

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED

  1. Strong quantitative skills.
  2. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  4. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once.
  5. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and various proprietary systems.
  6. Must be able to work under time pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
