The Pharmacy Technician (Warehouse) assists with receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping medications and pharmacy supplies while following pharmacy regulations and company policies.
This position works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with safety and confidentiality standards (including HIPAA, where applicable).

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and store incoming medications and supplies; check quantities, lot numbers, and expiration dates.

• Pick and pack medication orders accurately based on prescriptions, work orders, or facility requests.

• Label, package, and prepare orders for shipment or delivery following temperature and handling requirements.

• Maintain organized and secure inventory locations, including rotating stock and removing expired or damaged products.

• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation to support accurate inventory records.

• Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks, scanners) in a safe and compliant manner.

• Follow all pharmacy, safety, and quality procedures, including controlled substance handling as directed by a pharmacist.

• Support documentation requirements and help maintain clean, orderly work areas in both pharmacy and warehouse spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/license in applicable state, if required by law.

• Previous experience in pharmacy, medical supply, or warehouse/distribution environment is helpful but not always required.

• Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to follow written procedures and work instructions.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move boxes of medications or supplies within reasonable weight limits (e.g., 30–50 lbs).
