Shift: 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM (Overnight, 7 days on / 7 days off)

About the Role

We are seeking a Packaging Operator to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical in ensuring products are packaged efficiently while meeting strict quality and safety standards.

You will begin by learning sanitation processes and will assist experienced operators with daily production tasks. This position involves hands-on work with equipment, material handling, and supporting product flow through the packaging process.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, adjust, clean, and sanitize packaging equipment
• Assist operators with production processes as needed
• Prepare bags and labels according to work instructions
• Verify lot and batch numbers and load materials into blenders/hoppers
• Fill hoppers for packaging operations
• Move finished products throughout the facility
• Transport boxes and materials to and from freezer storage (up to -55°C).     
• Stack bags and boxes onto carts/trolleys for storage
• Retrieve raw materials or finished goods as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and report or assist with fixes
• Complete production paperwork and enter data for inventory tracking
• Collect samples for quality control testing
• Follow all GMP, safety, sanitation, and standardized processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Basic math skills (including metric measurements)
• Ability to follow written instructions and production logs
• Basic computer skills (ERP/SAP experience is a plus)
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• Ability to use basic hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills

Work Environment

• Overnight shift: 4:30 PM – 5:00 AM
• Rotating schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Physical role involving lifting, standing, and moving materials
• Regular exposure to cold storage environments (up to -55°C)
