Outside Sales Representative

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects to specify products in building plans.
  • Conduct sales calls with distributors and contractors to achieve sales plans.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel of national corporate accounts to create long-term partnerships.
  • Develop new accounts in assigned territory to achieve profitable growth and volume targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing manager to create sales materials for products including brochures, fliers, artwork, website, sales campaigns, and promotional items.
  • Conduct market analyses and develop data to determine end-user and dealer needs.
  • Recommend new and revised product offerings and competitive pricing schedules. Utilize established manufacturer price schedules and discounted rates.
  • Engage distributors to collaborate on sales with builder and corporate accounts.
  • Travel to customer sites, typically two weeks per month. Travel throughout assigned territory to call on prospective customers and architects.
  • Conduct product seminars where you explain and demonstrate equipment at sales meetings, seminars, and at customer sites.
  • Prepare periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Represent company at trade association meetings and trade shows to promote products.
