Material Handler

Job Description

 

Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Material Handler to support Shipping, Receiving, and Production operations. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to grow and take ownership of warehouse operations, with opportunity to step into a more senior, lead-level position over time (small team of 1–3 people).

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving & Warehousing

  • Receive, inspect, and store inbound materials
  • Perform bulk offloads safely and efficiently
  • Complete accurate WMS/ERP transactions (receipts, transfers, inventory moves)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse

Production Support

  • Stage and deliver materials to production
  • Return unused materials and ensure accurate system updates
  • Communicate shortages or discrepancies

Shipping

  • Pick, stage, and prepare outgoing shipments
  • Load trucks using forklifts or other equipment
  • Ensure documentation and system entries are accurate

Inventory & Systems

  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy
  • Utilize RF scanners and barcode systems
  • Assist with WMS maintenance and process improvements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
  • Experience with WMS and/or ERP systems strongly preferred
  • Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish a plus)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, chemical, food, or industrial environments preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and team-first mindset

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
