We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines in our production facility, ensuring efficient and accurate manufacturing processes.
Interpret job specifications from shop drawings or blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
Set up machines by adjusting stops or guides to specified lengths using scales, rules, jigs, or templates
Monitor machine operations to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions
Measure workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy of machine operation
Stack, mark, and pack finished workpieces
Perform minor machine maintenance, including oiling machines, dies, or workpieces
Operate material handling equipment such as power hoists, cranes, or forklifts to move materials and finished products
One year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and understand shop drawings or prints
Proficiency in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
Skill in using calculators and tape measures
Basic computer skills in a Windows environment and familiarity with ERP systems
Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
Specific vision abilities including color vision and ability to adjust focus
Capability to perform physical tasks such as twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, bending, pulling, and standing for extended periods
The employee in this position must wear OSHA-approved safety equipment, including:
Safety shoes with metatarsal guards
Safety glasses
Gloves
Hearing protection
Grinding and/or cutting shield when using grinders or power cutters
