Machine Operator

Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to support efficient production, maintain product quality, and help achieve operational goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate production machinery according to established procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make routine adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to verify compliance with quality requirements.
  • Accurately document production data, including output levels, downtime, and material usage.
  • Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues, escalating more complex concerns when necessary.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with material handling, packaging, and other production support activities as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets and operational objectives.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on business and production demands.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, or extended hours when required.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred
  • Experience in plastics or similar production environments is a plus
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and production schedules
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
