Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Packaging Associate to join our team on the overnight 223 shift in a food manufacturing environment. In this role, you will assist in the packaging department, preparing food products and maintaining cleanliness by sanitizing machines and work areas to ensure a safe and compliant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Packaging and Product Handling:

  • Prepare food products by unloading them into a hopper and filling smaller containers.
  • Regularly handle products in and out of the freezer.
  • Follow clear instructions to ensure products are packaged according to quality and safety standards.

• Sanitation and Machine Cleaning:

  • Clean and sanitize packaging machines and equipment at the end of the shift to meet company cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of production areas to ensure a hygienic work environment.
  • Use approved cleaning chemicals and follow proper procedures to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and food safety standards.

• Teamwork and Productivity:

  • Stay productive during downtime by proactively seeking additional tasks to assist with.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and maintain cleanliness across all work areas.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, following safe lifting techniques.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Follow all food safety practices to ensure product integrity and cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sanitation or cleaning within a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to follow cleaning and sanitation protocols accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, including handling items in freezer conditions.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
