Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Hose Assembly Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and quality control of hose products used in a variety of industrial and commercial applications. This role requires technical expertise, hands-on skills, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble Hose Products: Perform the assembly of hoses and related fittings according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.

  • Cutting and Preparing Hoses: Measure, cut, and prepare hose materials and fittings for assembly, ensuring precise dimensions and smooth surface finishes.

  • Fitting and Crimping: Install fittings, crimp, and secure hoses using specialized tools and equipment.

  • Testing and Inspection: Conduct pressure tests and visual inspections on completed hose assemblies to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and resolve any issues or defects in hose assemblies and rework as necessary.

  • Maintain Records: Accurately document assembly procedures, materials used, and test results for quality control and inventory management purposes.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and equipment.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain hose assembly tools and equipment to ensure proper function.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate production of hose assemblies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in hose assembly or a similar mechanical/technical field is preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of hose assembly techniques and industry standards.

    • Proficient in the use of hand tools, crimping machines, and measuring equipment.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and instructions.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks with attention to detail.

  • Certifications (Optional): Certification in hose assembly, crimping, or related fields is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

  • Willingness to work overtime or on weekends if required.
