  • Fork truck driver – good English speaking, WMS system – ERP systems, higher level person would be great! Own the warehouse – 1-3 ppl
  • Shipping  7:30-4:00
  • Receiving 7:00-3:30
 
Job Title:          Material Handler 1st Shift
Department:     Production/Shipping/Receiving
Reports to:       Production Supervisor/Shipping Supervisor/Receiving Supervisor
 
Job Summary: The Material Handler Position will support Shipping, Receiving & Production. The position is responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials across receiving, warehousing, shipping, and production operations. This role includes receiving and storing inbound materials, supporting production material needs, preparing outbound shipments, executing accurate WMS/ERP transactions, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment. The position requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and a team-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & Warehousing
  • Receive, inspect, and store inbound raw materials and supplies
  • Perform bulk offloads safely and efficiently
  • Execute WMS and ERP transactions accurately for receipts, transfers, and inventory movements
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
Production Support
  • Stage and deliver materials to support daily production needs
  • Return unused materials to inventory and ensure accurate system transactions
  • Communicate material shortages or discrepancies to supervisors and production teams
Shipping
  • Pick, stage, and prepare outbound shipments according to customer and shipping requirements
  • Load trucks using forklifts or other material-handling equipment
  • Ensure shipping documentation and system transactions are accurate and complete
Inventory & Systems
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Utilize RF scanners and barcode systems
  • Support basic WMS maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
General Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across departments
  • Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • WMS or ERP system experience preferred
  • Forklift experience and/or certification preferred
  • Previous experience in chemical, food, or industrial manufacturing or warehousing environments preferred
  • Familiarity with scanning and barcode technology
  • Clear cross-functional communication skills
  • English speaking, Bi-lingual Spanish a plus
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, positive attitude, and team-centered mentality
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Physical Requirements: This job requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate a forklift. The employee will be required to wear safety glasses and steel toe boots at all times. On occasion, the employee will be required to wear other types of personnel protection safety equipment.
