Job Description

Leading Distributor servicing customers in very diverse industries with a very well-established reputation is looking to add to their team.  They have been in business for over 40 years and continue to grow and expand and are looking for an experience buyer to join their team to manage purchasing and inventory.  Responsibilities would include:

  • Negotiating best pricing and delivery terms with vendors 
  • Developing and maintaining productive relationships with new and existing vendors 
  • Place drop ship and stocking purchase orders with vendors 
  • Analyze internal requests on inventory and make recommendations 
  • Monitor inventory metrics and buying strategies 
  • Support international vendor purchasing programs 
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies Utilize ERP systems effectively to evaluate buying decisions 
  • Other special projects as needed 

Job Requirements

  • 2-5 years of purchasing experience 
  • Prior experience negotiating with vendors 
  • ERP or SAP software experience preferred
