Job Title: AutoCAD Technician (Entry-Level)
Schedule: First Shift, Monday–Friday
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
We are in need of a detail-oriented AutoCAD professional to support our design and engineering teams. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys technical drawings, collaboration, and learning on the job.
The AutoCAD Technician will assist with creating, updating, and organizing drawings and documentation using AutoCAD. This role is ideal for a candidate who has foundational AutoCAD skills from school or prior work experience and is looking to build their skills in a professional environment, with guidance and training from more experienced team members.
Create, edit, and update 2D (and potentially 3D) drawings in AutoCAD based on project requirements and markups.
Interpret sketches, redlines, and verbal instructions from engineers or designers and translate them into accurate drawings.
Maintain drawing files, revision histories, and documentation in accordance with company standards.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings meet specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
Assist with basic measurements, layouts, and minor design adjustments under supervision.
Support general department tasks such as printing, plotting, file organization, and record keeping.
Associate’s degree, technical diploma, or coursework in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or a related field; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD (no expert-level experience required).
Understanding of technical drawings, dimensions, and scales.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions and learn.
Ability to work on-site three days per week and remotely two days per week.
Experience with other CAD or design software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit) is a plus.
Prior internship, co-op, or project experience involving AutoCAD.
