An individual in this assembly department is responsible for kitting, assembly, inspection, and packaging of equipment. When the supervisor is not present, this person is also accountable for overall department performance. The role is essential to meeting production goals while maintaining high product quality.

Interpret technical documentation — read and follow blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and production paperwork to complete accurate assemblies.
Perform advanced assembly tasks — solder, crimp, select proper wiring, operate crimping equipment, and use hand/power tools to assemble or modify electronic components.
Inspect and troubleshoot — conduct in process and final inspections, complete documentation, test parts/products, and troubleshoot assembly issues as needed.
Support workflow and quality — set up jobs, assist with packaging, answer assembly questions, maintain safety and cleanliness, and uphold department performance when the supervisor is unavailable.
Read & interpret documentation — able to understand written instructions, schematics, and basic English communication.
Basic math proficiency — add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
Advanced assembly skills — strong soldering/crimping ability and knowledge of kitting/bagging for shipment.
Measurement & tool use — able to read rulers, micrometers, calipers, scales, and use magnifying aids
High school diploma or equivalent.
3–4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
IPC Certification.
Background in assembly, electronics, or related production environments.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, handle materials, and communicate as needed.
Frequent sitting depending on task requirements.
Close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment required for detailed assembly work.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform hand/arm movements for assembly tasks.
