• Must have decent accounting knowledge – more than AP/AR
• Cost accounting for projects
• Assist the Controller and Executive Administrator with things like taxes, payroll, etc.
• A four year degree is NOT required, Associates would be great
• Construction / manufacturing accounting is a plus, not required
• Need to be able to take projects and run with them
• Ownership of responsibilities
• Quick books and MS Office is important, specifically Excel
• Must have a personality that can be flexible to interact with field team members that come in the office.  Very casual conversation.  Need to be able to interact with them and no matter what, you aren’t too important to engage.  Need to have a sense of humor, not a stick in the mud

• Basic accounting knowledge.  Will find out quickly if someone really doesn’t understand accounting but can see that they are struggling with basic accounting knowledge.
• If asking the same questions, that is a red flag
• If you have an accounting background should have the basic knowledge
• Most accountants have used QuickBooks so if they see someone struggling with it, that is a red flag
• Excel – most people know excel if you are a two year or four year, most have a higher knowledge.  If see someone struggling with Excel that is a red flag
