We are seeking a strong leader/results-driven Controller to oversee the financial operations. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting financial planning, compliance. The ideal candidate will have accounting leadership with a hands-on approach and strong knowledge of operational finance. You will collaborate with the President and Director of Accounting to strategically drive the accounting operations. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a small accounting team and assist in daily accounting operations including A/R, A/P, general ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations, fleet asset management, and loan records.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with the President and Director of Accounting.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including fuel tax, sales tax, and fleet reporting requirements.
Assist with annual audits, banking.
Provide financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decisions by executive leadership.
Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
Minimum of five years of experience in the Accounting field
