Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in reporting. This role is perfect for someone who is analytical, proficient in accounting software, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and receivable records.
• Prepare bank deposits and conduct bank reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with payroll processing and tax filings, as needed.
• Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, organizing records, and responding to financial inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
